haha, very nice... obviously the missus doesn't mind giving up an entire floor to your tanks, huh? it's always good to have a girl that's cool with the hobby, my girl doesn't even mind the eight tanks i have in the bedroom, she's pretty understanding... haha.

well im not married yet, but im almost 19 and i feel like i am lol. she wants to custom build a house as well, and i told her i just want one room...... the rest can be the way you want it, but one room! lol. i think a room like that would be way better than having a giant tank with only a few fish in it, i can have multiple setups and make it look good. she wants a saltwater tank so i can put a pink fish in it (royal gramma). but yeah thats what i want it to look like. and having one tank on carpet isnt that bad, but id rather have one than all of my tanks..... thats where im leaving a cement floor in right there. the basement is my haven, which is where this will take place. im assuming that canister filters are in an order for this setup? i think that by doing this i can have tanks and not show all my equipment, but just having viewing pleasure.....

if you really wanted to do it right, you should definitely go with wet/dry filters. i wouldn't even consider anything else on any tank over 75 gallons, although i do like to add a canister set up strictly for mech filtration.

ok. at first i didnt know what you were talking about but then found out we were talking about the same thing lol. yeah thats what i was referring to. usually come in a canister that goes under the tank. i dont ahve any setups larger than that but my personal favorite is the marineland biowheel, great filters.

how did you pull off eight tanks in the bedroom? my gf is ok with my hobby except when i start talking to her about it lol.
