Pacus - Like or Dislike?

i like the way they look but dislike their jumpy personalities.

They are jumpy when young, but my 12 incher wont move for anything, you have to push himi out of the way when cleaning the tank

why is petsmart and other chains allowed to sell such a fish when their average customer is not at all what is considered a knowledgeable fish hobbyist. i think they are cool fish and i would keep one if i had a MONSTER tank.
