I may be a little incorrect but should be pretty close on this. The red bay snook is a natural morph of a bay snook which is green in color. I think the regular bay snook is actually a better looking fish, but not as flashy as the red morph. I have yet to see any of the reg. bay snooks available anywhere around here, but I'm sure you could probably find online.

just got done rinsing my sand!!! i'm sure i'll have pics tomorrow when it all settles. thanks for the input, it swayed my judgement from about 50 large egg shaped rocks to sand. :headbang2

just waiting for the cycle to run and it's game on. the black sand looks way better than the rocks i had before. good input

just checked the tank and there's blotches of small white fuzzy bacteria spilling out of the large pieces of wood. i dont even wanna mess with that nonsense so i took it all out again and have just finished redesigning the tank with smaller limbs. i hope this is the last time i need to mess with it. i'm getting irritated.

looks a lot better ;)

:headbang2 :headbang2 Tank looks great with the wood.

I've got to re-scrub a couple of pieces down myself. Picked up supposed Malaysian driftwood from" Mission Pets", rinsed , scrubbed and soaked..about two weeks later my tank was cloudy , I went crazy trying to find the source, dead fish? No spike in the readings???changed water small amounts fairly frequently, cleared up then the next morning cloudy again......to make a long 3 week story short, took the new "driftwood" out and the tank cleared up in a couple of days....???

How did the bleaching work out for you ,did the wood still smell like bleach, when you where done?did you put them out in the sun to remove the remenants? I'm thinking about putting my pieces in the oven under low heat for a while? What do you think..?

Sorry to de-rail your thread, I got off on a tangent.....I'll stop now, way too much coffee today.....
