If you move the parents and eggs they "might" stay with the eggs but then again they might freak out and not. If you try this, you have to use water from the 55 to fill the 20 or else you'll probably kill the eggs.

This is what I would do... Forget about the eggs you have now, just leave the situation be. Fill the 20, add your sponge filter and let it run for about 48 hours to get to temp and dechlorinate. Add a little bit of gravel from the 55 to seed it. Leave it mostly bare bottom. Add some furniture for spawning (pots, some floating plants, a couple of larger rocks preferably from the 55 gallon tank so it is covered with beneficial bacteria). Wait a few weeks and move the parents to their new breeder.

you got some good points. but if thats the case i'm goin to try and raise them myself.

I just bought the sponge fliter, blackflow vlave, and tubing, thermometer and fry food.

I'm going to set up the 20. use 100% water from the 55. scoop out the plant and the parents.

if the parents don't like it i'll take them back to the 55.

to me its worth the shot if the babies survive. then i can sell them to the store and get some of my money back.

I don't really have anything to add here, I just think it's absofreakinlutely hilarious that you put in the thread title that, "My angels poked"

glad i can amuse some people. haha

I couldn't move them last night since i have to clean to set up the new tank.

but before i went to bed. i guess some a hole ate the eggs.
i'm so upset. but i guess it can't be helped. now i can go buy a piece of slate and some pool sand.
but i am upset at the lost.

how long before they can "do it" again?

this is a link to an Australian fish forum but it's a great help with many knowledgable people, some are even breeders of angels.
http://e-mailme.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1420

but if visiting there makes you feel dirty

heres a snip of it:

"Got to know an ex large scale Angel breeder recently and he told me what he considers to be the best way to hatch out Angel eggs away from the parents.

His method was simple, take the eggs away from the parents as normal and put into a hatching tank into water straight from the tap, temperature adjusted, chlorine and all I thought this sounded a bit harsh as we all know what effect chlorine can do to fish { or so we are told } but this breeder swears by it. His opinion is the eggs are totally protected from chlorine effects by their shell........sorta makes sense ? and by putting them straight into warmed chlorinated tap water the fungus is kept under control, no need to add methylene blue or anything else, and the water is bacteria free........unlike aged water that swarms with all kinds of bacteria. Going to try this next spawn................... "

yes it worked great too
