Panisyist fish ever!

Yeah a 2 inch aro thats probably why it died right there. They are very very very delicate when they are that small because its likely they just finished up their yolk sac, who knows if he was even eating yet.

My question is why do you have goldfish and guppies? Are they feeders? Just feed them and get it over with so you can properly take care of the arowana.

until they hit the 6" mark at least...a foot is even better.

6 inches onwards and when the fish is very ready to eat and look pretty good to be kept with other smaller tankmates.

I agree 100%...a two inch aro should never be with anything else. I did the same thing when I got my silver. I kept him in a tank with a lower water level to prevent any unnecessary damage from the center-brace on the tank.

My tank of choice is a 40 breeder...it's small enough to fit anywhere but gives you the added width an aro needs to grow. Once he hit about 8" I moved him into my display tank.

I doubt they can survive in your tank of monsters:ROFL:

you never know the killer goldfish may have the taste for aros now :D

sissy aros? lofreakinl my Jar is the undisputed ruler of the tank that includes cichlids 4X his size. Anyway yeah I don't mean to be redundant but aros are fragile at that size and theres no doubt he died of some other cause and then those opportunist goldfish ate him.

LoL You should of seen my old aro my silver would eat anything you put in the tank, too bad I left the cover off the tank overnight when I was hammered.

Did you compare the pH of your water and the water the baby aro was in previous?
