Well technically they are basket mouth cichlids more closely related to caquetaia cichlids. The only thing they have in common is that they are piscavores. The mouth is more designed to suck fish in rather then to bite down and hold w/ sharp teeth.

According to dr. paul loiselle petenia are considered guapotes also.
