Paradise fish are very aggressive, and can become quite territorial with age. I'd say proceed with caution. Mind you, I know very little about Sculpin.

I agree. Better not put in 2 males in same tank.

yeah iv been researching them was thinking 1 male and see how it goes then add a female

I don't know a thing about this fish, but it looks like a cross of a betta and gourami

I would quarantine them first and make sure your temps are compatible ,(you definately dont want to lose you awesome Sculpins).

it is in fact related to both gourami and bettas

already planed on it..have a grow out tank that will be empty soon

That would be an interesting mix. Bright and pretty swimming above "ugly". Hope you have a spare tank ready in case you need to separate them. I'd hate to lose the sculpins

With half inch fish in there I wouldn't even attempt a paradise fish they are rather aggressive. My brother had them so I do know this from exprience.

the half inchers are left over from a cloud of sculpin fry i threw in (30 under1/4 inch) for her to hunt..they are just who survived, only really worried about the larger one who i taped! and have a pic (will be up in native section soon) shes just over 4 1/2 ^_^
