what do i do? i have no clue how it happened, i went to school and then work and when i got back we was only using his mouth and gills. what can i do to help him? or is he beyond help

this tank is a 29 gallon tank with 1 other jack dempsey, lemon oscar (temporary till big enough to go with big oscar) 3 tiger barbs, and 1 african cichlid (will be moved out tomorrow) the tank has been set up for about 2 months. and the jack dempsey is the oldest inhabitant of the tank. i came home and from his frontal fins (sorry i don't know what they are called) back is a light tan, or pail and up is his/her normal color. he is trying to swim using its frontal fins, but can only move them and his gills/mouth. if you need more info, i will see what i can do. my testing kit has been a little iffy, its a cheap old thing that i don't even know if works accurately.

i have, and the other fish keep nudging him and he can only move his front fins. i have tried many times to get him to swim. all he's doing is getting pushed around the tank by the other fish. i worry that he is healthy hints the breathing and the fighting but he won't move anything but his front fins, gils, and mouth/eyes

Do you have another tank you can put him in, by itself, or a divider or something to divide the tank? I would give it a day or 2 if you can do either of those to see, and if nothing can be done, clove oil.

well the way i came to find out is that he is moving what he can like a normal fish but what he can't move looks like its dying and he desperately wants to move it, obviously, but he cant.

i checked on him this morning and he was still breathing and waving his front fins but was stuck to the filter. as of now he looks dead, but he is breathing. any idea what is going on? again he is completely pail and looks dead, his body stiff like rigor-mortis (if fish even get rigor-mortis). but he is breathing like normal and clearly waving is front fins trying to swim, but getting nowhere.
