Wouldn't be a bad pickup. Just make sure it's a GT and not a gold saum. I got conned like that. But he's too cute for me to want to let him go now.

that's not really a "con"; as noted, most fish sold as GTs are really saums, unless you go directly thru a trusted dealer such as Rapps . . . it is a standard LFS convention to call them GTs, but you're not being conned

are u sure he wasnt just dying from something else? cuz ive had it happen where my fish looked like that when they were sick and dying. i dont know how big ur fish were but 29 gallon seems awfully small for 2 jd's and an oscar if its been running for a few months.
