Parasite, disease or something else?

Just that I do 50% WC twice per week and have to see this behavior after any of the previous WC. A little flash within 30 minutes after the WC but never one or two days after the WC
This statement confirms what I’m telling you. You notice a little flashing after water changes.
check your source water.

Sorry, I meant I noticed less flashing before the WC, but I did a WC anyway because I need to dose levamisole.

I will order the ph, KH and Gh kit and test my tab.

Thanks

Ok I see. And I should say check your source water vs tank.
hope I’ve helped and not cause any confusion.

Hey i agree that it probably has something to do with water. I did some research and it seems that every hour I’m NYC, the water is coming from a diff source. From my experience living in NYC the water does have a lot of minerals since it’s (if I’m not mistaken) spring water. I would suggest as others have said testing water or calling your water company. Maybe a long term solution could be getting an RO water system?

Not at all, I have checked my tab a while ago but have not check recently. probably should check anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I had RODI water system when I was keeping a large reef tank but find it too time consuming due to the water pressure being low in the house.
Switched back to mainly freshwater tanks hoping to avoid mixing salt and RODI water, :) .

I will test the tab water and see how it is. I know my tab has almost 0 KH back then when I test it. Forgot about GH and PH is about 7.6 when it first come out. Without the KH, the PH drops quite quickly so the PH is not stable. I added crush coral to my substrate and use baking soda and epsom mix to buff my WC to 8.2 ph.

Thanks
