why'd you sell the male ash? arent male bleeks better looking or is it a female thing?:D
I sold the male cuse he was way to agressive. Actually the male did have nice colors, but he seemed to want to not let them to their full potential, maybe he was unhappy - He is in a nice big happy tank now though. The female, she always shows her colors =) She gets along with her tank mats and she is also smaller then my male and I need the tank space.

Its all good, whenever I can manage to borrow a digi cam and get some pics I'll post them!

well b4 I moved her she was with an oscar, arowana, lima shovelnose, big tinfoil barbs, an irrdecent shark, parrot and a fh, but the male took out a protion of those fish though. Then I had them by themsevles. Then the male started to rip her up so I got rid of him. Now she chills with a Datnoid and a JD but both are smaller then her.

IME, Paratilapia sp. large spot (aka P. bleekeri) are more aggressive than P. sp. small spot (aka P. polleni). Very cool fish nonetheless.

Nice fish! How big can they get and How much do they go for?

I ve seen them go for $8-15 before online. I got mine for $5 off a friend. If you wanna go by standard sizes for fish in fish tanks by websites its guesstamated at 10-12inches females being 10ish males being 12ish.
