I would have to say you posting your tanks and how many is very counter productive and stealing the purpose of this thread.i too am 13 and find it fustrating that my hobby , or should i say obsetion, is some what resticted. The key is finding a fish your parents find attractive ,eg. my mam likes rift lake cichlids so i was allowed a aquarium for them. also take your time on persuading your parents to let you expand your collection.
i mean, in some cases its not greed, if you read the "Pipsqueak is alive" post, I now have 6 White Clouds, and will get an Otto to clean up, yet cant upgrade to a 10gallon! WTF?

I used to have the same prob.. But then.. I got a gar..which out grew my 20g..so my parents felt bad for the fish and i ended up getting a new tank.. Now i have 2x50g, 1x 20(SW) and 3x4g tanks...
Don't worry.. once u have ur own place..you will be able to have any size tank..and any number of tanks you want...

lol your all moaning about your parents and you all want more freedom. haha wait till the guys take a wife. then you will realise you actually have quite a bit of latitude in comparison to bargaining with a wife. i only have 1 tank and im not allowed anymore, im not allowed to spend too much on a fish, filter etc.
im 25 with my own house earning £30k/~$55k a year.
believe me when i say that there will be plenty of time to get huge tanks in your own place in between mother and wife. enjoy your youth while you have it, before you know it, it will be gone.

my mother kicked me out of my home when i brought home a 210g with the "do it first, as questions later". so it was wither i go or the tank goes.... so i took both me and the tank and moved out, was 16 then...
