Considering your keeping your lizard in a rater inospitable envioroment I would probably stat away from something like a ackie, wich is more demanding then other lizards. Have you considered something like a blue tonge skink, leopard gecko or a crestred gecko. Any of those make great pets, are smaller and take much less space then a ackie. They could even be small enough for your parents to allow them inside the house. Would be better then later your ackie getting sick because he got to cold or something like that.

That is better then, I have no clue where you live so I have to play with the "steriotypical" garage imagePayaraMan;4629465; said:I live in Florida and in the winters it rarely gets 40 degrees and night and we have a portable heater we can put out there. Also the only chemical we have are like paint and construction materials, stuff that should be harmless to a lizard. Size is not the problem to keep it inside, its the smell. I'm not big fans of blue tongue skink, leopards, or cresties and have no reason to keep them.
