i was wondering how other mfker's parents think of our hobby. i am a 19yo and my parents think its a waste of money. i have 2 120 uk gallon tanks in my dining room and they say the fish i keep (breeding pair of dovii with fry and the other tank is a community tank with peaceful fishes) are dull and boring. the biggest insult they said was "fancy goldfish are much better than your stupid mean fish".

My mom has always loved my fish. My dad used to think fishkeeping was dumb and my 110 was the biggest I'd ever have. But once my fish started getting bigger and meaner and started biting him, he thinks it cool.

My parents are the complete opposite, whenever my dad gets mad at my fish for chasing and biting each other, I ask him if I should just switch the tank to an angelfish community, then he shuts up
I dont live with my parents but when my dad stops by and sees all my tanks he tells me to save my money and to stop wasting it. I just tell him go F%^$ off
