hey peeps.
i am currently setting up a 125gl tank and i am seriously looking into
paroon shark for my tank.
now i know these fish gets pretty big but how long does it take for
a fry to grow?

if you own a paroon shark my questions are how long did it take to grow to its recent size and would you recommend owning them.

i think they're awesome looking and so is the iridescent shark.
i currently have a 4" ID shark in my 55gl tank with gouramis and
other cheap fish. but i really want to own a big fish for my 125gl tank.

thanks in advance,
mel

A good question would be what happens when the fish finally outgrows your tank? Where will it go?

that id shark will grow to the size of your tank. and i dont mean it will grow to a comfortable size within your tank i mean it will grow to 6'x18" where it would fully fill your tank, no room for water.

you'll will need a huge system for it, why not try an id shark at least, they will go in that size tank a lot longer until time for a reasonable upgrade.

A big fish in a 125G would be like a Juaguar Cichlid. This 3 foot catfish will not work, nore will the I.D. sharks.

In a year the ID shark should be at 12" in 2 years 18-24". Theres a vid on youtube of a 7" paroon eating a 7" ID shark so.....

And dont even look at a paroon unless you have a 15x15' pond or bigger
