paroon shark.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They taste delicious ;) !

125 is a good starter tank. That's about it. You might get a year before you need to upgrade to around 500 at least, and then a few more years before you'll be wishing you had a 2000 or larger.

My Paroons grew very fast. Like stated it's a good starter tank for a smaller one.
Also I have my Paroons with my ID's which are smaller then them, not by much but they all get along great and swim together. My Paroons haven't killed or eaten any tank mates yet. Knock on wood. lol I love mine though, their fins are amazing then they get long, and mine eat out of my hand.

I bought a paroon last november at 14 inches. Less than 1 year later she has doubled her size, length and weight. These fish are truly monsters. 125 will do you some good for a very little period. My guess is about a year and a half. If you intend to get one, go for the biggest tank/pond you can or cant afford, even if it takes a few years to build it. You will need it. I would not reccomend a paroon to anyone without having the capacity of a huge tank already set up. ID 's do get big, mine is 16+ years and 26", they are easier to handle. Please keep in mind that your tank must be wider than 2 to 3 feet. They need to be able to turn around. Choose wisely.

mel,
i have 3 paroon shark. i'm located in los angeles. i'm willing to sell u 1, because they do grow and will need room. currently, i have 3 in a tank of about 80 or 85 gallons and need to think of better homes for them. these sharks are AMAZING and i wish i had a place bigger for them in my own home. They are always swimming, muscular and great to just watch. If you like powerful energy, a paroon shark is great to have.

that id shark will grow to the size of your tank. and i dont mean it will grow to a comfortable size within your tank i mean it will grow to 6'x18" where it would fully fill your tank, no room for water.

it wont grow that big if you keep it in a tank that size. but it's supposed to grow near that length in the wild...

Wild or not, if it gets a good home and is well fed, it can can possibly will reach that size.
