paroon x redtail

These are laboratory fish if I have been told correctly. If I remember someone said it was so hard to do that only about 1% bred lived. I'm no scientist though so that could be a load. Awesome frankenstein fish. I would love to keep one. *********** had an 18in. one for sale recently under 100, but it was definitely a pickup and it was in Cali. I always thought we needed more mad scientist on the east coast.

I've seen photos of the sub-adult in California (was here in SoCal and is now in San Fran). I've had three opportunities to buy this one now, but apparently I'm not supposed to get this fish as circumstances have not permitted me to get him all three times, frustratingly enough. In any case, last I heard he is over 16". I would think he has grown since then as it was a couple months back, but I know he was vanquished to a 55 gallon tank by his current owner, because he was out competing the other fish. So, he may be getting stunted. I have been told by both owners that he swims around like a paroon shark, but gets tired and has to lay on the bottom for a few minutes and then he's off again. And, his appetite is that of a RTC. From what I've been told, he has a dominant personality and he out competes everyone for food. He's a Frankenstein's monster and a monster of a fish.

nice fish and this is actually possible... ya just gotta milk the male and all that

yes these are possible. and i am new to this site but i could actually tell you alot about these because i was a original owner of a rtc x paroon and i know r1rider on mfk was too. i had one sell atr 125 bucks and he was around 18-20 inches. pelleekland is correct it was a lab fish. and from my knowledge out of all the test only 4 survived i had one. r1 had 1 and another guy from san jose had one. and the 4th died at 6 inches. there should only be 3 left around if not they have done more test. i will look through my documents tonight and try to post the certificate i had before i sold it with the fish saying he was a test and that only a few survived

yes these fish are beautiful i used to be a owner of a very large one roughly 17 inches. i can explain it perfect for you, had the large paroon dorsel fin, and redtail like tail, only the tail was not red more of a dark grey with black tips like a paroon. had the aggresion of a paroon but the mouth and head of a redtail. the shark was same color as paroon, i had this fish for 2 years and he just got too big and mean

so its possible BUT HOW? how would a rtc get a paroon to mate with him? id love to see a video of a breeding pair at work. ive kept both fish and i just dont see how!

How would a RTC keep up with one? Or a Paroon not be eaten by the RTC?
