Paroons...??? What are these?

this was a 24" one that was deemed a pure breed, destined for Dallas Aquarium. But did not make the flight, so I bought it. I later sold the fish, but compare this to the babies in this thread, what do you guys think? I actually have some pictures of pure launardii babies in an old Japanese magazine from 1980s., if I have time I'll take a snap shot of it.

Nice but it is kind of hard to compare this fish to the babies since they look different as they age.Just like the photos of this species on Planetcatfish,no good baby photos are provided.I would like to see the photos from the magazine that you've mentioned though.

And here is a supposed albino "larnaudii", but I don't see any black markings, but then again...don't think it would have any

Lol,no I guess the "black ear" wouldn't be very visible on an albino variant and the Scottcat photos look almost identical your photos,Rouben...and that big albino has the body shape of the black ear that Wes posted.
