the bp took over convicts place and all the convict is doing is circling the tank maybe too watch out for something i dont know. it seems like the convict is protecting the bp now. what tank do i have to get? how long can it wait because right now dont got money?

well I guess your fish are gonna have to wait until you get some money :irked: For those two fish you will need a 55 gallon at least, although I've seen blood parrots 10" long. So a 75 gallon would be best.

Best bet is to research the fish before you buy, in the long run it's easier on you and the fish:)

when it was said that they males are sterile this is not always the case sure it is in some strains but not in all!

About 98% of male Blood Parrots are sterile.

ok guys im going to bring back my parrot fish might as well give him back to live better do u suggest i get rid of my convict too and start over with a fish because my convict is too aggresive or anything can go with convict for now until i get bigger tank the convict is picking on the bp.

Smart move, Look for a used setup you can save big bucks over new. A used complete 55 gallon set up is going for $100-$150 in my area. I did buy a complete set for $50 though.

You can get a complete 55 gallon "kit" with an All-Glass tank at WalMart for @ $150.00. I hate supporting WM, but they are cheapest for alot of things. The kit includes Whisper60, heater, hood with lights. Mine's done pretty well all things considered. Makes a great grow out tank.
