Instead of "candle in the wind" how about "nitrous in the wind".

He took on any racer, never ran and hid....
His piston rings burned out long before his turbo ever did!

That really sucks. For those of you who dont know, Paul Walker was, aside from an actor, an advocate for marine conservation and had a passion for the ocean and Sharks.

I'm not really a big fan of movies in general, but it seems like we lost a good one, at the very least a charitable dude who was an ally of the ocean.

Yeah. Sucks that they died, but come on, look at the wreckage of that car, and imagine the speed they had to have been going. That car must have been traveling at a pretty high rate of speed to look like that afterwards, despite the fact that it burned. Apparently it hit a pole and then skidded (or flipped) to where it came to rest near a tree... and a 15mph speed limit sign.

Very sad. It is their fault for driving wrecklessly, but there is no one on the planet who doesnt see people done in doing stupid stuff like that and think, man, I've done some stupid stuff, and that could have been me... which is why I'm not casting any stones.
 
^ I think we agree so not sure why I'm quoted. I just found it hilarious that someone said charge the dead driver with murder and someone else asked if the driver lived based on those pics
 
Hah yeah, I'm not contending anything. Just expanding on what was previously mentioned about the state of the vehicle I suppose
 
In all realism when your in a car like that or any decently fast car about to hit the rev limiter adrenaline kicks in then add a huge movie star in your passenger seat and I can only imagine the pressure/adrenaline this guy was under the influence of!

If your ever going to go balls out take a warm up lap so you at least know the general layout of your urban rally expo in a car as stiff as a kart!

Like baller said others could have been killed and bystanders could have been lining that road!

A 605hp v10 is no joke but it does have electronic traction control (abs/engine management) and ceramic disk brakes so how this incident occurred had to have been a serious malfunction, flat tire, driver could have passed out who knows but Paul knew he was going to go fast as a passenger he knew the risks. Can't exactly blame the other guy without even knowing how this incident happened!

Um the driver was an ex pro racecar driver and he was Walkers long time friend they met racing together.. He was also pauls financial advisers. So the guy knew how to drive and the adreline of being with a movie star is non-existent. Plus he was more han a movie star like stated above he was very charitable and they left the a toy drive that was made by roger rodas (the passanger and friend) by his company.

I know all of this!

This comment was directed towards comments slaying the driver. Accidents happen especially in a 600+horsepower mid engine car full throttle on unfamiliar roads! Paul like his buddy race and like me risk their lives every time they do it, that is just part of the hobby or sport.!

Tragedy can make people point fingers and blame but I don't think the driver should be held completely responsible, like I said above the driver could have had a stroke, heart attack or the car could have had a malfunction like a flat tire or broken steering linkage. And going fast always ups the adrenaline, that's half the fun of it!
