Lawsuit. A lady is suiting her for 1.2 mil because she said that her brother was harassing the staff and she didn't do anything about it.

I actually did see that in the story I read but the old dug up stuff don't seem to have much to do with that,but then in a lawsuit I guess,anything you can dig up to possibly help your case is fair game.
Maybe she was a pita but had good enough numbers that they needed to justify not renewing her when they really just want to be cheap.
Mullets change things. I can't say anything someone proudly rocking a mullet would surprise me..

aside from this scandal, my husband is gonna miss watching her cook all the old fashioned, southern cardiac arresting food. He'd be flipping channels, land on her show and just remain stuck there.
we laughed a lot- her being the only one still cooking buckets of fats and sugars, and always tosses in a little extra just for lolz. It was entertaining ;-)

It's not a freedom of speech issue. The government is not punishing her, private entities are.
For example, if I work for you and say openly that you are ugly, you have the right to terminate me without running into a speech issue. Now if you try to tell the police to arrest me for it, then it's a speech issue.
