It is a freedom of speech issue if such consequences happen. I remember few years ago an emobile commercial here in japan made many in USA freak out.

Here that stuff is nonstop in TV ads and so on. We even have "hello gaijin noses" as party joke

Interesting Akuma and I remember quite a few years ago there was an issue with certain retail stores in Japan who had mannequins in the display windows that were made to look like negative images of black people. These mannequins featured huge red lips and other exaggerated anatomical features.I'm not sure how old you are or if you were ever aware of the case but it seemed fitting to mention it along with the examples that you already mentioned...Yep,you guys seem to get quite a kick out of your freedom of speech and expression.

Akuma do you actually post much about aquatic life or just sit by to stir the pot and try to be confrontational and insulting of others and their culture?

I'm not trying to be rude but I don't ever really see any posts on fish stuff from you but always seems like your in threads knocking others that don't live some life like you do in Japan. Japan just like anywhere isn't perfect. It has its issues. It has its problems. Many of them are the same issues no matter where you go. Just some people find it harder to see them or admit them in their own backyard.

To be fair,I find much of what he/she posts interesting and it is construed or taken the wrong way.

This may be the case. I do understand cultural differences and some communication issues can translate differently. Let alone typed words can lack or come across wrong.

But.... I do see alot of people end up having issues with it and plenty of comments get removed as well as threads closed.

I'm not meaning any offense to Akuma or anyone. Just pointing out that sometimes things seem to be worded or pushed out there like everywhere but japan is faulted and wrong. I've been to Japan lived there for 8 months of my life as a teen. Enjoyed it greatly. Loved the people and the respect they gave me. So I'm again not knocking anyone. I guess more so of a question of how things seem to be said. If that makes sense?

I´m not aware of that specific case but thats normal here. It is simply not seen as a problem. You see it on TV Shows, children books and evrywhere

I think its just that we have a very different culture and view of the world here and many things that are seen as insult in your culture are not aware here. Just look at the outcry about Biohazard 5. As capcom showed the first trailer people in Europe and USA went nuts:

Capcom didn´t know how to react at first and said its not racist and thought its a good idea to add some arabs into the masses of african brainless zombie hordes...which made it not better.

Did you mean to say Residential Evil 5?...either way I don't remember any outcry over the trailer.

Interesting,so is the entire game series known as Biohazard or just that installment,is the Resident Evil name not used at all in your country?

The entire game series was always named Biohazard in Japan. They only changed the name for the western market. Resident Evil is not used.
