pay more for wild caught?

Delgado - he's right. Just look at DMACK's peacock bass for an example.

And I've never seen a wild silver aro with dropeye, they are drop-eye free and real shiny.
 
They start out with wild caught fish though!!! HAHAHAHA!! BOOO YA!!!


I dunno...F0 or wild caught sounds more pleasing than F3 or F4...haha.....maybe its just me

we still cant assume its genetics

we need DNA evidence

or proof that it is from the fishes aquarium conditions

now why the hell havnt they done testing yet!!:swear:

theyre are also captive bred aros that live in ponds that somehow dont get drop eye.

so we are on multiple fronts on this issue:grinyes:

Cuz it cost money bro. They have to see a profit in them testing them to find out what causes it. Right now there isn't any reason cuz the only ones who care about it are the more advanced hobbyists. Kinda hard to get it funded or get grants to find out what causes it if there is no real benificial use....ya know?

yes, but you would think someone who had access to this equipment +(money) would find out for themselves.

theyll get desperate soon enough ;)
 
Genetics is a little more complicated than you think...haha. It would take quite a bit of time to find and isolate the gene that possibly helps contribute to drop eye. You would need a few test subjects, captive bred, wild caught, and a control group...seriously...it would be a lot of work..haha

i know it would take alot :grinyes: :eek:

a dedicated mofo would go through all that trouble.

and at the end look at all they fish you get to keep :naughty:
