So further update - the tail has been developing white outline and becoming less heart shaped, seeming more like an armatus by the day. I can see growth in it already too, however, just noticed that it has caught ich from a feeder as of a few hrs ago. Treating it currently and hope to have a positive update in the future.

And that’s why I don’t use feeders unless I breed them myself ( i dont) lol

I would have to agree there - I just don’t have room for another tank atm to breed them lol! Positive update though, it has fully recovered at this point and is growing quickly. It’s tail does look to be getting the slightest tint of red-ish coloration to me though which keeps making me second guess.

Just posting this here for further documentation and consideration. Still growing very fast, but developing non black coloration around the base of the tail.
