you can fit around 4 to 5 tats in a 300 gallon. Putting multiple armatus in a tank would still be very risky. In reality, I guess you can put 3 armatus in a 400 gallon tank.

red tail tats that grow to 12 inches is rare enough let alone the lone 18 incher. Never heard of one in captivity that exists. It's better to get the tats as babies so they they can grow up together. I heard that an odd number of them is safer than even numbers of them. Works for other aggresive "community" species. But beware there are exception of personalities.
Yea I'm want them small so if if I get 4 tats and 3 red tail tats @ 3-4" and stick them in the 300g 6x3x2 will that be ok for life?? And the red tail tats only get 12" and the regular tats get 18"?? And the 400g 6x4x2 il like to get 4-5 3-4" armatus and stick them in there. And could I stick a gatf with the armatus?

Red tail tats and regular tats are the same thing, its semantics. They all can get to 18" but that is exceptionally rare.
You could do a gatf with an armatus if you grow the gatf out some first. The armatus will grow MUCH faster than the goliath and the tiger will be a meal very quickly.

there are only one species of tat. The red tail. You can put 5 of them in a 300 gallon tank. As for the armatus, I would only stick with 3. You can put gatf with them. Armatus are indeed the most aggresive of all payaras. You can risk it and put more armatus ut I definitely wouldn't do it. They might lose eyes.

400g- 3 armatus, 1 GATF
was wandering could a couple scombs be with the tats. And is it true they die wants they hit 12" or in a year.
