they need a really big tank. extemely good water conditions. have to train them to eat pellets and only if your lucky they will eat them

You are correct. Don't get into it unless you know you can accommadate one. Glad you didn't do an impulse buy?
If thats all your worried about he won't. Don't let these guys scare you to thinking you have to train a Pbass to eat. He will eat.
Not trying to steal your thread beginneralex14, but I was just wondering that alot of you guys said you have to have more than on pbass? I have only had one pbass for a few months now, got him at 2'' and now is 6'' and seems pretty happy? Is there somthing a should worry about with him being by himself?
I saw like 30 in a tank for five bucks each at one of my LFSs. I have no clue about how to keep them, and I personally think they're ugly, so I didn't get them.
