pbass and blood worms

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've never had problem with frozen blood worms. i fed mine blood worms (live and frozen) and frozen brine shrimp. they get to eat twice a day and devour everything. i introduced shrimp after they grew from 2" to 3.5" and they took it right away.

i'd say try live blood worms if they don't take frozen well. but you don't have to use feeders at all,............ that's my opinion and experience

Was going to pick up some frozen brine shrimp and was wondering if there is a difference between spirulina brine shrimp and regular brine shrimp?

spirulina brine shrimp has a nutritious algae in it too.. i buy this and switch it off with regular brine shrimp, especially for the africans.. they need some plant matter, and sometimes when they are young that is the only way to get it into them.

I use small rosy reds and frozen blood worms. I have two small pbass that were 1.5 inch and only fed them the rosy's about once every third day . Threw in around 20 at a time. Now there about 4 inches. My larger tems eat anything.

my staple diet for my babies used to be bloodworms because thats all they would eat. that and brine and mycis but they would only nibble at that stuff

I was picking up some ghost shrimp the other day and a guy at the lfs said that ghost shrimp don't carry parasites i was wondering if that was true i have never heard that.

i never heard that either rob.. and i generally don't believe LFS dudes unless i know them well and know they have a clue.

I didn't believe him but thats why i threw that out there to see if anyone had heard that before:screwy:. I don't really see why they would be immune to parasites but im no expert.:grinno:

look at the stickes about pbass and then you can train them to pellets
