you have to remember the fish, birds, small mammals that they are eating also have insects, grains, and water vegetation, larva, micro organisms..ect in their stomachs.
im not sure if its the cichlid you are feeding them that enhances their color or their mood of the chase and kill, if you ask me its their mood that makes them glow like that. don't forget water quality also plays an important role in color development
