So thanks to all those who helped with my previous questions. Here are some pics of my set up...I have also added one question and would appreciate your experience sharing as well as ideas.

I will be getting a new tank soon (3 months) and I'm planning on a 120. I really want to make it look great! I kept Africans for the past 3 years and therefore I'm not as confident when making decisions about the decor for PBass. Having made several changes to my tanks in the past, I know hind sight is 20 / 20. With that being said, if you were getting a fresh start how would you design your tank?

Thanks in advance...
JP

you might wanna go for a larger tank :)....at least some time for the future

Thanks for the comments...

infoface2w1 - I said I plan on a 120 gallon very soon, are you saying larger than a 120?

JP

Yep, 240gal or bigger. And drift wood as well.

I would think of something a little bit larger than a 120g. A 180g would be perfect...that extra 2' is a godsend when it comes to spreading out aggression and giving the fish space to get away from one another.

^^^ i agree.. a 240 or bigger if you want to keep your cichla for a while and driftwood is the way to go.

a 120 will last a long time, but it's not that much better than a 75 for bass (if it's 4x2x2). It'll work for a while, but def not forever.

none of my tanks have anything but sand and driftwood

have plenty of driftwood(it soften the water and lower ph which pbass thrive better in) use plastic plants if you want as live plants would get uprooted and will also pose a problem if you want to treat the tank with salt(plants dont tolerate salt)
