pbass substrate

haynchinook334: very nice tank. To the op i always think natural look is the way to go . If your going p bass just google there natural evironment and look at the substrate and copy that, but thats just me. The reality is anything will prob look good

I always liked R1's, VenomSS, Calisucks tank. R1 had river rocks and sand, VenomSS has just river rocks and Calisucks had bare bottom.
It also depends on how much time you have. With sand, it takes a little bit more time as opposed to Bare bottom and tile tanks. Never did river rocks, but I assume its a pain to maintain.
 
sick tank :grinno: my only worry wit sand is that it would wash out the color of my fish and i have a blue background as opposed to your black so maybe it would actually wash out the color... i went to home depot yesterday and all i found was this gray sharp gravel? is it possible that gravel is out of season? lol im thinking ill do a river rock/gravel mix wit some flat slate rocks to hide the plumbing and il have some powerheads to keep the poop moving lol i just gota find it cuz homedepot is letting me down alot lately

You need to go to the garden dept. They have pea gravel.

yup i did i walked around the whole thing and couldnt find it. i only found red lava, play sand, and gravel my dad said is proly for concrete or something. no pea gravel but im gona try a quarry place where my dad got soil from and hopefuly theyll have gravel and all the stones im looking for
