Pbass tank size?! And pbass question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think Ocells, Monos and Orinos are cheaper then Azuls. When I was into raising pbass you can find 2" babies at LFS's for like $10 each. This was 2-3 years ago though. I don't know if prices have gone up or not.

I currently have a 10 inch Tem and a 6 inch mono housed in my 150 gal. Once they get big I will either have to upgrade my tank for get rid of my pbass!

Andrew, if you really build that big tank, I'd say go for it.
But if you get anything under say 220, I wouldn't do it

See peacock bass need to be kept in at least pairs, if not groups. So if you get azuls you'll be paying at least $200 if not more, that's a lot of money, especially since you haven't kept pbass before, and azuls seem quute a bit hardr ro keep alive than orinos or ocells.. As a beginner go for orinos or ocells but then like said before you'll need 220 gals minimum, if not 250.

Yes they can. just not aggresive ones, or smaller ones then them

Wait so I can't put them in a large cichlid tank? Here's the stock I want
10- bristlenose plecos
3-oscars
3- dempseys
3- jags
3- convicts
2- Texas
2- cuban
2- red devil
2- firemouth
2- green terror
4- blood parrots
I know a lot will be bullied. Can any pbass go with this stock?

I think the jags could be aggresive but the firemouths will probably get chomped!
