Pbass tank size

Hey guys i have a 6.5 inch peacock bass (ocell) He is in a 46 gallon bow front right now solo and i was just wondering what the next size tank is i should get him. X-mas is coming up so i think i am going to ask for a new tank. Should i ask for a 75 gallon?? or 80 gallon? and what dimensions are best? I dont think i can get 100 + gallon yet (parents) so max size what be like 80 or maybe i could get away with 90 but prob not.

He can be in a 90g for a bit. The bigger you get the more time it will buy you till you need a big tank. Most 75g have a 18" foot print and also most 90s, so you could probably do a 75 for a bit with good filtration.

Okay cool so a 48.5 x 18.5 x 21.1(inches) will be okay ? And what filtration do you recommend?

um for one, i would not go anything lower then a 150. 5 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot.. as they can reach a good size, over 16 inches, some reaching 20 inches plus.

Aim for about 3 watts per gallon and you should be ok. So if you go for a 75 gallon a 300w heater should be fine.
