Thanks,

But, I would HIGHly recommend agents getting a RTC for your cichla tank. RTC can, and most likely grow to 2' in the first year (I had two RTC's). Granted, rtc can make great tank mates with cichla, But without a significant tank, a rtc will not work. IMO

Agree.
An RTC will outgrow the pbass and eventually eat it.....RTC's grow at a phenomenal rate.

Had a giraffe cat catfish are no fun and they stink...so as far as the ebjd if I grew one out bigger than the pbass wouldn't his tallness of body shape compensate for being a smaller fish, or you all think he'll still be eaten...

Do you have any pictures of the PB's you got from the wet spot???

im growing mine out and putting them in with my super red in a while right now i have them growing out with some malawi with a neutral ph balance between the 2.....and as far as i know "DE" is a genetic thing with arowana....and is not caused by the fish looking at the bottom of the tank and is actually a fatty deposit behind the eye and is more comonly found in cheap arowana like silvers and blacks....so i wouldnt rule out one of these beautys.....

thats wiked! is there any issues with arowana and pbass coz i wanna get a aro i have 2 pbass and gettn a 6 foot tank 2morrow wat do u reckon?

My aro and pbass did great together my bass was even quite bigger than my aro when they were introduced, be careful with size difference though my bass was a bully for the first month or so. I would not recommend and aro if you have kids, a dog, or alot of company they spook very easily. I had mine for almost a year before DE showed up and I still belive its because he would spook and hit his head. The bigger he got the harder he would hit the top of the tank even with the water level 4inches below the rim. And one day I think he jumped a little too hard...I lost him that day. Be sure to keep you tank covered with weights on top. Good luck, let me know if it works out.
