It has been doing an excellent job, so far, seeing as it is meant for up to an 80 gallon tank. That and I have got no problem with changing water often.

I did my research and went with the sponge for the low maintenance. All that I've got in there right now is thriving and I've only had the tank (set up and stocked) for a week.


And... if I did a discus, would it leave my shrimp alone? I love the (big) little guy and with just his little filter arms, he's got nothin to fight with.

Okay, so my choices have been whittled down to the blue rams, and a bunch of fish from Frank's (thanks to whoever brought that up because I forgot the name - kept thinking it was Mike's).

We have anything else out there?

The rams would be nice. I like those a lot too. Anyone think maybe some female bettas? They come in all different colors

I forgot to say that the tetras would be a last resort. I'd much sooner get pygmy corys, but they are hard to get around here.

Pygmy and dwarf cories can be ordered online from www.azgardens.com at fairly resonable prices, they have a $35 minimum though.
