2 of my bass died, i have no idea why. Water changes every 3-4 days. They're the only predator in the tank, so nobody bugs them. I did another water change today and add salt. Hope they do well and grow :[

How do your fish just die? I dont understand that. Power failure? Did you check your water?

i checked the water and everything seems fine. Not sure what happened. maybe it's the feeders :[

Most likely it was the feeders, where they on a feeder only diet? you should try feeding them other foods beside feeders, since feeders are always a health risk in diseases and such.

yeah i was hoping it would be okay for a month so they can put on some size. The 3 remaining ones seem rather stressed for some reason. This is depressing since it's my first attempt at Pbass.

Lay off the feeders and stick with more nutritional food, they will put on size. Just be patient.
Easier said then done.
First off, How big are the bass? How much do you feed them a day? Feeder gold fish?

they're 2.5 inches. 1 is roughly 3.5 inches. i feed them guppies. Waiting for them to be big enough to take goldfishes so i can start doing the drop method to convert them.

This will save you. Use blood/black worms. When any of my 16 bass from 2" to 12" were finicky, ie I just bought them, they always eat frozen worms. forget the goldfish. I had the same goldfish nightmare with a positive outcome(lucky). But feeders do not go in the tanks. Some will say live blackworms have a similar risk of parasites and they are right. try frozen first, then live worms to frozen. then convert to silversides/krill. 2 cents. Good luck. I had 2 inch noodles and within a month they added 3/4 of an inch in a 135gal. Now they eat everything (but live).

for some reason, i don't think it was the feeders. What are you "fine" water conditions? nitrates, nitrites, ammonia?

how big are your water changes? what temperature is your water?
