I'm going to keep this short being I'm hoping for a solution asap before fish gets worse. Thanks in advance for any help. Ammonia and nitrites very low, Nitrates Very high. I changed about 30 percent of water. It's a 50 gallon tank with a peacock bass. It has an Eheim 90 gallon canister filter with the True View built in back tank filter. The fish is about 6 inches in length and is responsive and eating but breathing rapidly. Could it be a disease from the high nitrates or just caused by the nitrate level? This condition may be caused by my ignorance and I'm hard on myself because of it. Please help if you have any ideas on what to do. Thanks.
