Peacock Bass Help!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well...looks like you won't have to worry about the Dat being eaten:D

Holy sh*t that dat is huge. You should be fine with peacock bass, they are no more aggressive than a dat IME. Try to get the biggest ones you can preferably 12"+. Look for some monoculus, occelaris or orinocensis. They all grow to about 24", orino's maybe a tad bigger. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your amazing tank housing some cichla.

Just noticed your from the UK. Your going to struggle to find big pbass. You might have to consider raising some yourself in a growout tank. They grow really quickly so you could have some beasts in about 12 months.

Thanks ye i kow there are a lot of fish that are hard to get hold of in the UK. I may try some. My dat is the softest dat in the world if you put it in with cardinal tetras it wouldnt eat them!

so roughly its an 8'x2.5'x2.5' youve got plenty of room for some bass.. id try and source some large bass to go with your current stock though as juvies will just get eaten by your current fish..
