The only problem that i could see arising is mabey the introduction of some orinocensis peacock bass, they do not get that big and by no means are the fastest growers of the species but they can be VERY MEAN when it comes to chasing tank mates and harassing other fish, for instance, i have two orinos in with an oscar the oscar is 7" and the orinos are 4" the orinos are the dominate fish and mess with the oscar at times...

but even with orinos, you rarely get anything serious.
maybe some nipped fins at most.

of course there are exceptions where the cichla kills something else, but its usually food...
i doubt any cichla would be able or try to kill that dat..

You mean the turtle atacking the PB:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
Now thats funny lol no all of my fish seem to be really soft my 19" CK my 18" dat pulcher and my 22" tigrinus wont eat my 4-8" clown loach or even tiny fish like the 2-3" torpedo barbs they lived with when i was installing the new big tank (upgrading from a 6x2x2 to an 8x2.5x2.5) so i am worried about the PB and my clowns thats the only thing really!

a big enough cichla WILL eat those loaches.
a mono or one of the other smaller species should be fine in that tank for a LONG time,if not life.
i would worry about the turtle not getting enough food once you add the cichla...

How big would you say a PB would have to be to eat a 6-8" clown loach!
I think that the turtle will be ok im sure i can get food to him he does fight his corner well and i can fend off the cichla with my feeding stick for getting food to my megalodoras and trachy catfish lol
I hope the tank will be ok but im sure i will be upgrading to a 1000G+ in a few years!

Maybe 18" to eat a 6" clown loach. You could keep 3-4 monos in your tank for life. Maybe when the bass start getting really big you could consider getting another tank for your smaller fish. Do you have room for maybe another 6x2x2? I would stock like this.

100x30x30
3-4 monos, dat pulcher, clown knife + any large catfish you have.
6x2x2
turtle, clown loaches + any smaller fish

Thanks how long before a PB gets that big?
That would be an ideal setup that is exactly the same as what i was thinking i have a 6x2x2 empty because its what i upgraded from but im not allowed to setup the 6x2x2 aswell as my 300G:cry::cry::cry::cry: Parents wont allow!!
I only have a 48x24x18 and the 100x30x30 and 3 vivs for my sakes
I wish i could setup the 6x2x2 aswell like i say that would be amazing.
When the PB get big i may move the clowns to the 48"er with my AUL.
I may be getting a couple of leopoldi rays will they be ok with a PB?

Maybe 2 years before they get to 18". I've had mine for 8 months and they are 9". I've heard rays are okay with pbass. You must have some serious money if your buying leopoldi. What is an AUL anyway?

1x 18" clown knife
3x 4",12",16" Megalodoras irwini
1x 12" trachycorystes trachycorystes
1x 8" ornate pimelodus
2x 8" Leopldi ray

tom i think you should reconsider getting that AUL they poop like hell and if your planning to keep rays with them thats gonna be a big problem as rays need good water quality your gonna have to do massive water changes every day. seriously lungfish poop in NEXT LEVEL, there's a thread on MFK about it you should check it out
