Haha good job it wasnt your hand it snapped in two:ROFL:
I am thinking of going monster because before i had a sort of oddball community tank with loach and severums but im thinking get rid and get spotted gar, leopoldi and PB in their place!

Would you say PB are best kept in groups or single?

they do best in groups.
i'd be worried about getting enough food to the gar.

I think i probs wont add a gar afterall ive been told they will attack my leopoldi but are PB like dats whare you either keep em single or add 5-6 what would you say? Im not sure i got room for a load of em. I forgot to ask will they be ok with my 16" flag fin prochilodous?

imo tom, p.bass do better in groups, ive got a group of tems, and yes the flagtail should be fine ive seen them kept before with p.bass

imo 3-4 is a minimum, so if you dont want too many bass in your tank you should be fine with 3-4.

if you getting juveniles which are 2-3.5inch i would recommend you to get say a group of 5 grow them up to about 7-8 inches then sell the others off. this because young p.bass imo are very prone to stress coz of transportation an acclimatization, imo they acclimatize better in shoal, plus you can keep the ones that show better marking when theryre larger.

also make sure you add a bit of salt (aquariums salt) id say 1 table spoon to every 10 gallons to help with acclimatization(trust it helps a lot) and im sure you know already know to keep the temp high at around 29-30 celcius and plenty of oxygen
