tom i think you should reconsider getting that AUL they poop like hell and if your planning to keep rays with them thats gonna be a big problem as rays need good water quality your gonna have to do massive water changes every day. seriously lungfish poop in NEXT LEVEL, there's a thread on MFK about it you should check it out

I appreciate the advice but hes going in his own tank as he is small (8") so hes going to go in the 48x24x18 with my jag cats and stuff.
I couldnt help myself buying one they are only 5 in the UK privately owned so im happy.

How big would you say a PB would have to be to eat a 6-8" clown loach!
I think that the turtle will be ok im sure i can get food to him he does fight his corner well and i can fend off the cichla with my feeding stick for getting food to my megalodoras and trachy catfish lol
I hope the tank will be ok but im sure i will be upgrading to a 1000G+ in a few years!

ive tried getting the cichla away from the with a feeding stick...
either you end up with very scared and skittish cichla,or,in my case...,the cichla attack the stick....

Maybe 18" to eat a 6" clown loach. You could keep 3-4 monos in your tank for life. Maybe when the bass start getting really big you could consider getting another tank for your smaller fish. Do you have room for maybe another 6x2x2? I would stock like this.

100x30x30
3-4 monos, dat pulcher, clown knife + any large catfish you have.
6x2x2
turtle, clown loaches + any smaller fish

ive had a 4 inch temensis eat a 2 inch clown loach mind you.
i personally wouldnt risk a 6 inch clown loach with any bass bigger than a foot.

Ye im probs going to move thm anyway in with my AUL and jag cats.
I had my dat get hald the feeding stick in its mouth lol he is so greedy i dont like using a stick as like you say it can make them scared of you but it seems to make most of my fish more determined :D.

Haha good job it wasnt your hand it snapped in two:ROFL:
I am thinking of going monster because before i had a sort of oddball community tank with loach and severums but im thinking get rid and get spotted gar, leopoldi and PB in their place!

Would you say PB are best kept in groups or single?

I am planning on keeping 2 ocellaris pbass, 2 florida gars (when they get bigger), 2 bichirs (ornate and endlicheri) and a rotkeil severum in my 270g (6' x 3' x 2'h). I have an Ultima 2000 for filtration so the bioload shouldn't be too great.
