Ok thanks a lot i will get them at about 8" i think so i will get 4 or 5 i think.
I allready keep the tem at 28-29 as i have clown loach and to keep desiese in check.
Thanks

Tom make sure you add salt, trust me it will really help with acclimatization, the salt will not cause harm to your other fishes(trust me), i know you have a lot of other fishes in your tank thats why i stated a lower dose of 1 table spoon per 10 gallon in case you have any scaleless fishes in your tank;)

But i will add some when i get em.:D

I only have 2 pb that are going in my 270. Will they fight with each other when they get larger (they are about 8" now)? Is that why others recommend having them in larger groups (3-4+)? They seem alright during the day but sometimes pick on each other a bit at night (no damage though).

its quite difficult to say, if they are two males they may end up fighting a lot(may), you'll just have to see how things go but if they do start fighting then add a couple more p.bass of the same size

they feel more comfortable in groups.
sort of like schooling fish.
they will always be fighting.
but usually not much harm is done.
in a group you can spread out aggression.
there will always be a dominant one.
and a whipping boy.

Okay, I guess I'll have to look for a couple more! As long as the tank doesn't get too crowded when they are full grown (with the gars and bichirs). Thanks for the advice!
