So how loud is that beast when all is running? (Noise level is always the 1 annoying thing when dealing with new fish tanks for me, I seriously end up moving every vibrating things ~10 times till I get it the quietest with noise dampening and everything...)

Thanks to everyone for the comments .Well it is full ( of water)and running a dry run ( or should I say a wet run) Kev this thing is super quiet except for the inital start up the pump was a little noisy (full of air) but it is astonishingly quiet.I have the motor screwed to the floor of the stand with 1" vynal tube under it for dampening.I also made a mod to my diy feather stone caves. I put a layer of silacon in the inside of them to help protect the fish from injury and will probibly use lace rock for the rest of the aquascaping.Have a few tweaks still to do on the filtration end but nothing serious.

Hey man, I keep checking back on here to see how this is coming along. Just out of curiosity, do you find places other than LFS to pick up lace rock? I mean, do they usually have this stuff at landscaping places, or what? I've been wanting to add more to my tank, but I've previously bought all of mine at the LFS and spent WAAAAY too much on rocks.

I'm working with a landscape company to try to get some through them if you take a small piece to them they can try to locate some for you.

Looks good... some day... (Just need to finish with this pesky 3-4 year detour before I can buy a house and get a tank in which I could swim in.)

So about how many lbs of rock do you plan on putting in that bad boy?

john thanks for the comment .kev see below.
Update I was up last night till 12 pm putting the tank decor together 350 lbs of rock (got for 10 cents a pound)It is rock from florida it has fossils of shells in it but has a good look to match the gravel. Also got some fake plants and got some fish yes I said FISH!!! will post pics this evening . (Dont get to excited about the fish they are the cycling kind).

HEE HEE sorry mike soon enough we will have the good ones. Here are the pics as promised 350 lbs of rock looks small in this beast:headbang2 Having a little issue with micro bubbles  I think it may be from cavitation from the backflow preventer I put in after the pump:irked: I did find one small leaking fitting that I fixed this eve and that helped some:confused:
