peacock hap paradise

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your tank is awesome. I wish I had a tank of that caliber. You what would look nice in your tank, some vic. cichlids. They add a whole different type volume to any african cichlid tank.

Ikevi yes the larger ones like rostratus, modestus , ornatus, polystigma, kiwinge, champ spilorhynchus, fusco, and aristo chrystyi .I was not planing on getting any females due to wanting to get all of these as well and wanted to save space for them .Eric is in the process of getting some of these and weeding out good males to keep for me of what he already has .I will be getting these haps after my peacocks get a chance to grow a little .On a sad note I lost my eureka red :(.When we got him in to the collection cup he went in to shock .Decided to get him anyway so I will need one of those again as well.:irked:
Din, Thank you , I was in the right place at the right time when this dream tank found me .I was going to get some vics like obleques, and flame backs but the fish I currently have and plan on getting will probibly be enough for this tank but you never know what can happen???

Sad to hear, I assume it was an albino. Out of the 6 fry I started with I am now down to 4, which maybe gives a slight idea on how hearty they are.

Anyways need some photos of Erik's place if possible :-)

And I have to say the more I look at that tank the more I realize just how big that beast is. I mean you half shots look like my full shots.

I tried adding three albino eureka red females to my tank about a month ago, but all died within the first couple of days. I've had a male in there for about 4 or 5 months - he's doing alright, but doesn't really show a lot of color. I think it's because one of my other male peacocks in there is king and is always displaying his color in front of him.

Sorry to post twice in a row, but what is the name of this fish? Is it the al lawanda? If so, is this just a common name used? Do you know the complete name? Thanks.

That is a line breed/hybrid that is called a "strawberry peacock". (A very good looking fish in my opinion.)

It was the non albino that died the albino is still going strong and he was the smallest fish in the tank so that may have been the issue??? here are some pics of eric's place

Dam everything looks great! Now i am thinking about setting up on my 125 as a peacock tank. I have a couple in a couple different tanks i guess i should just put them all together. and make a sweet tank like yours!

I get so much pleasure out of this tank and I've only had these guys for 4 days I cant wait to get my cat fisha and the rest of the haps in here!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the complement:)
