You have pretty much answered the question yourself Lee. 5 Star relates to the huge spots around the inside of the main spot if that makes sense, many Pearls develop these spots in later life but they are not quite the same, they are more like tiny dots rather than spots. These larger spots are often in greater numbers than 5 so it doesn't make much sense really..lol !! I bought the parents as 5 Star from Belgium and both male and female have unique markings, both have these huge spots. As you will see this pup of Lee's bears no resemblance to the parents, for some reason this combination throws out a large percentage of white Pearls and always have done. This pup is a shining example of that and it couldn't be in better hands, Lee grows rays faster than anyone, we always have a joke about that, he really does know how to keep fish in general.
Lee your parents to the other pup may not be whats known as 5 star but they are top quality Pearls for sure just a different strain,a strain I also have as you know.
All the best with him, he is very special.
Keep the pics coming, its good for members on here to see with their own eyes that there are Pearls out there that rival "in my eyes anyway" even the very best black diamonds, and lets face it, its far easier to buy a top quality BD if you have the cash, there's more to be had!
Cheers Lee!
Richard.
