Still sticking with the algaemax primarily?
Id say even split algaemax/theraA. Also been feeding them the omega one mini pellets just because the little hets were so small but they seem to be fine with the larger 1mm nls pellets

The little hets are coming along nicely. Tons of personality. Nothing like the last batch. These guys are a little more aggro with each other and will nip at the glass begging for food. The last batch i had were way more chilled out.

Thx guys that means allot coming from two cichlid heavy hitters !

Odd but amusing thing with i figured the larger tank would have chilled him out some morr but its had the opposite affect on the big idiot. Hes much more aggressive towards me (doesnt bother the bichirs) i get bit quite a few times during wc's and the other day he almost knocked the test tube out of my hands lol

I know what you mean about tank size, even though my upgrade is only 4 inches wider the male biffa seems to find it easier to manoeuvre, which has given him more confidence.

Another thing about tank size is i feel like its really not big enough. This may sound crazy but he fills out the 300 imo it wouldnt look as appealing with more mid to upper swimming fish. The bichis really take up no space looks like the tank will remain his ans only his along with the bichirs....no aro or cichlids tank jist doesnt seem big enough

I fully respect this statement above. Do you think you will add more bichirs then or do you feel the tank is pretty "done" now with your current stock?

Yeah will definitely add some more bichirs but not too many they really arent crazy active and kond of just hang out. I like the look of seeing empty tank space looks a little more natural. Sounds idiotic since nothings natural about fish in a glass box lol
