Ridx is septic tank bacteria. It helps a lot with filter gunk build up and apparently algae and such. You can read more here http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/threads/the-use-of-probiotics-in-aquaculture.536531/ . I've been using it for a bit now.
Ok how much and how often (and what?) do you feed him.. I have 3 and they are growing real slow. In fact all of my fish seem to grow slow compared to other ppls.. I feed em 1x a day.. NLS
I kind of try and under feed. He eats once day nls thereA/algeamax and romaine lettuce or peas a couple of days a week. Lately ive been feeding every otherday
Been a few months since i did an update on these two. Im offically part of the 1 cichlid per tank club. Pearsei was always a bully towards the het. The het is in a 75 with a poly and small raph cat and ive never seen him this active and his colors are looking pretty good too.
The pearsei is in the 150 with a couple of polys and an l200. He totally ignores the polys but is a real p.i.t.a during feeding time.
Also changed out the pfs in both tanks for red flint sand.

wish i would have listened to you sooner. I'll never go back to pfs again. Thanks for recommending it. The lights in the vid are causing some glare but this stuff is great kind of red/brown/maroon real natural looking, changed the whole appearence of the fish and tanks
