penguin 350 or 400

I run 2 - 400's on my 75. How do yo guys have your media set up? I have some generic off brand disposable filter pads 1st, then fill the gray baskets with filter floss. Works great.

check out the link I put up shows you how to make a fourhundred into a wet dry.
I would get two fourhundreds but the 350 are 14 dollars on big als thats super cheap and the 400 are 37 i could get three of the 350 which are essentially the same except for the spray bar. and the gph which is just 50 gal difference

I'm pretty sure if you have a canopy on a 75 gallon, you can't fit 3 350's.

Prices must be different in the states.
Since 350's are 45 each and 400's are 60 each
at bigals

It would be 3 350's (costing more) or 2 400's
I would pick the two 400's with no question (since thats what I did)

Anyway, people pick different filters for different reasons.
Odds are if you really need 3 350's on a 75 gallon (which is the tank we are talking about here, someone wants to know what they should get for their 75 gallon) then you may want to change your stocking since that is more than enough filtration for a 75 gallon.

Yeh they must be because you can get 350s here for 14.99 right now at bigals. And actually, with the typical canopy and typical 75 you can fit 3 350s, they arent as wide as the 400s, they are about 2 inches shorter due to the sprayy bar pieces that stick out of the sides on the 400. I also have 2 400s, but for the money....the 350s got it goin on

good news I found the tank im going to be picking it up this week im so excited im actually loosing alot of sleep. and the tank comes with a sump so this was kind of pointless but still if the sump is too loud or my dad wont let me use it im getting the 350's
