Penguin 350 power filter:

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What are your water parameters.
Ammonia,Nitrite, and Nitrate? As in,how many parts per million are currently in your tanks water?
I bet if you were to vacum the gravel in the tank, you would see how much waste is actually in your tank right now. You will never be able to properly filter that size of tank with those fish.
I have a Penguin 350 on a 20 gallon with Emperor TETRA in it. That should tell you how underfiltered your tank is.

Yeah it's overcrowded ( not really), Because you guys can definitley see my fish, and I'm not a know-it-all, I just know that's not the reason my tank is cloudy.
Your water is cloudy becuase your tank is overstocked ,it is full of ammonia, and it is going through the nitrogen cycle.

How many more people will have to tell him this before he realizes it is true :duh:

Ok, here's the truth, kid.

You may have cycled for a day, but there are two problems with that...
-If you didn't have any waste in the tank during the cycle, it was for nothing.
-Even if you may have cycled, you simply cannot add that many fish in so quickly.

Being as you have such aggressive fish that need to be added all together, you probably should have added some useless fish to the tank on day 2, then gradually built up to where it's acceptable to add all the fish at once. I wouldn't add them untill about the month, but I've never had a tank with that problem so I also wouldn't know and I don't know what size your fish are.

That's a bit of a waste... I have an AquaClear 300 on my "grossly overstocked" 46 that's been up and running for years.

See the rest of you could have given me constructional criticism like this guy, instead of scolding me and such. Most of you get way to into this, you must have no life, you probably feel like a BA talking like this over the web, and that's the only way you'll ever feel so cool.
