The plan .. make this small scale prototype.. then modify a 10g into a sealed box with a hole in it to accommodate the elevator pipe...

the idea came from my daughters hamster cage ..

On a bad note, It turns out I will be extremely busy the next few weeks & wont be starting this for about a month..

we put this on for her hamster, & I said hmmmm.....

Is the 55 going to be sealed as well as the elevated cube? If not how are you going to stop the water from the cube flowing back into the 55 and leaving the cube bitty empty?

The top cube will be sealed.. the 55 will not... the tube will not have any holes above water level, therefore no air can get in. no air in, no water out..

durring cleaning, some air may enter & some water will fall, but just until the water level in the 55 is again above the highest hole.. once the 55 is re-filled, the pump will pull the air out...
