You actually are lucky! At my LFS it is the other way around. The workers actually have no clue, they lose more fish as opposed to selling them. Looking at their stock the fish are way over crowded, they make up names for fish and the fish are malnutritioned.

hey id be happy to hang around the store and headbutt stupid people for you. i know what your talking about too. every time i come in there there seems to be someone asking or saying something stupid.

Speaking of genocide only 2 words needed (Walmart Fish) why are they allowed to slaughter so many species by just being lazy and uninformed. I cant even go there anymore. The other day a kid was buying a 10 gallon tank and was sold 3 red belly pacu and 4 oscars to put in it with some cory cats to top it off...As spoke uf there were like 7 kids pounding on the glass and putting stuff in the water,,STOP THE INSANITY!!
no matter where you work, what you sell or anything. if its retail...its only a matter of time if you haven't experienced it yet.. I could go on and on. I know I've posted a few in the past, but it truly does get ridiculas (sp) from time to time...
i worked at a LFS many years ago. and i basically had the same issues. we also didn't work on commision. so i told ppl the truth, and the LFS ended up firing me becasue of my sales were to low. but i'm with you guys. and there is no way in hell i would sell some fish to ppl after finding out what they wanted to put the fish in.
